IMMEDIATE OPENING Reading Teacher Margaret Beeks Elementary School School Year 2025-2026 Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for a Reading Teacher position that is available at Margaret Beeks Elementary for the 2025–2026 school year. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teacher’s License with an endorsement in Elementary Pre K - 6 or Reading Specialist
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans and curriculum materials
• Possess ability to effectively assess student learning and use results to plan and implement appropriate instruction
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance learning
• Utilize Google Drive for instructional purposes, collaboration, and managing coursework
• Create and maintain an inclusive, supportive learning environment that respects the diverse backgrounds and needs of all students
• Communicate effectively with strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Engage and collaborate effectively with parents and families
• Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to a positive team environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling responsibilities

Nice To Haves

• Experience with early literacy programs
• Endorsement as a Reading Specialist
• Experienced or have working familiarity with intervention programs
• Experience or working familiarity with virtual education
