About The Position

Reading Specialist needed for Elementary Position beginning in the 2026-2027 school year. The preferred candidate will possess a K-12 Reading License. Candidates should have familiarity with the following reading programs: Fundations, Orton Gillingham, Read Naturally, Wilson, as well as other reading programs. Candidates should also have experience supporting students in need of reading support at the elementary school level. The duties of the position consist of working with students in need of reading intervention services in grades K-5 in a push in and/or pull out setting; either 1:1 or in small groups. This teacher may also support students in the classroom and work in collaboration with classroom teachers and special educators. Arlington has a well established new teacher induction program with mentoring throughout the school year.

Requirements

• K-12 Reading License
• Familiarity with the following reading programs: Fundations, Orton Gillingham, Read Naturally, Wilson, as well as other reading programs.
• Experience supporting students in need of reading support at the elementary school level.

Responsibilities
