About The Position

The Reading Paraprofessional position supports students in the reading program.
Reading Paraprofessionals work on student days following T/ESD school calendar year
Typical scheduled hours for Elementary: 8:30-4:00p / Middle School: 8:15AM - 3:15PM / High School: 7:30-3:00
Position schedule may vary depending upon assignment
11 paid holidays & 7 days of paid time off (pro-rated based on start date)
The hourly pay-rate for Reading Paraprofessional is $23.94 per hour

Requirements

• Candidates must be a PA certified teacher.
• PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
• PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
• PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
• TB Screening - current within 3 months
• Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts

Responsibilities

• provide direct instruction to students in the reading support program, working under the supervision of a Reading Specialists
• deliver small group reading instruction to students as part of the regular education intervention program
• plan, deliver instruction, administer assessments, and participate in the collection, organization, and interpretation of learning data.
