About The Position
We are seeking highly motivated and outgoing temporary, Walking Tour Guides to lead informative and entertaining tours around Salem. PEM's Walking Tours will provide tour attendees with accurate and engaging information about the history and architecture of Salem, and the Historic Properties associated with the Peabody Essex Museum. The Walking Tour Guide is a seasonal, part-time position responsible for leading up to four, 60-90 minute tours per day. The position requires approximately 1-3 miles of walking per tour. All Walking Tour Guides will attend a 3-4 week training prior to conducting tours and will be required to present a memorized script for each tour. In addition to conducting tours, guides will handle admission transactions and customer check-ins, provide daily reporting and ensure the safety of their groups.
