We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level. As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial & Investment Bank, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops and maintains user interface components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Typescript
  • Deep understanding of React and its core principles, with a proven track record of building complex applications
  • Experience with frontend state management libraries e.g. Redux
  • Proficiency in modern frontend build pipelines and tools, including npm and webpack
  • Strong understanding of ReSTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
  • Proven experience with Distributed Systems and Cloud Technologies
  • Collaborates with UX/UI designers to translate design wireframes into high-quality code
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Experience as a UI Developer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, React and familiarity with version control systems, such as Git
  • Experience building ReSTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
  • Understanding of web development best practices and performance optimization techniques
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS)
  • Experience in Java or Python
