About The Position

We are seeking a skilled React Software Engineer to join our clients' team in Houston, TX. As a React Software Engineer, you will work on developing and maintaining software applications and systems that support our IT operations. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions using ReactJS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on React with a strong understanding of front-end development. This role requires the candidate to work on-site at our clients' office in Downtown, Houston.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in software development, with a focus on front-end development using ReactJS and JavaScript
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with front-end development tools such as NPM, Webpack, and Babel
• Knowledge of software design patterns and principles
• Experience with Git and other version control systems
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Willingness to effectively convey complex technical concepts and ideas, and to foster an environment of knowledge sharing and collaboration

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in the Oil and Gas industry or other industrial settings
• Familiarity with IT technologies such as networking, cybersecurity, and cloud computing
• Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js and SQL databases
• Experience with React Store/State management
• Experience with Charting tools

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand software requirements and develop software solutions to meet those requirements.
• Develop and maintain software applications and systems using ReactJS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.
• Create clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to identify and troubleshoot software defects.
• Follow best practices for software development and contribute to the improvement of the software development process.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.
