About The Position

G&C Food Distributors is a leading re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. We store and deliver more than 4,000 food items to meet the needs of our customers across 27 states and 35 countries internationally. In recent years, G&C Foods has grown to be one of the most respected redistributors in the United States, and we are rapidly expanding all areas of our organization. As part of this growth, we are looking to add a Reach Truck Operator to our Shipping Team to support our continued success. The Forklift Reach Truck Operator will demonstrate expertise in certification of power equipment, stocking, receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, quality control, and updating computer systems and orders, and may perform other duties in the warehouse as required. This person will need to keep the stock area clean and organized. Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn products are essential for this position.

Requirements

1 year of order selection and warehouse experience in the food service distribution industry or related industry (2-3 years preferred)

Responsibilities

Operation of powered industrial truck(s) (PIT)
Accurate picking and packing of customer orders
Demonstrate expertise in accuracy, productivity, safety, and dependability
Demonstrate proficiency in receiving, replenishment, and picking
Consolidate and Level boxes on each pallet, moving pallets forward to eliminate multiple partial pallets
Maintain correct inventories daily, correctly label and barcode
General clean-up of warehouse aisles after completion of orders
Organize the warehouse and work area for orderliness
Assist in other department areas as needed
Additional duties as assigned
