About The Position

G&C Food Distributors is a re-distributor of refrigerated, frozen, and dry food. The Forklift Reach Truck Operator will demonstrate expertise in certification of power equipment, stocking, receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, quality control, and updating computer systems and orders and may perform other duties in the warehouse as required. This person will need to keep the stock area clean and organized. Strong attention to detail and ability to learn product is essential for this position.

Requirements

1 year of order selection and warehouse experience in the food service distribution industry or related industry (2-3 years preferred)
Experience in operation of Powered Industrial Equipment, including Riding Pallet Jack.
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively relating to the job and the safety regulations.
Strong problem solving, organization and time management skills.
Understand product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
Strong communication skills, motivation, and energy.
Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
Able to work rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift, in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Operation of powered industrial truck(s) (PIT)
Accurate picking and packing of customer orders
Demonstrate expertise in accuracy, productivity, safety, and dependability
Demonstrate proficiency in receiving, replenishment, and picking
Consolidate and Level boxes on each pallet, moving pallets forward to eliminate multiple partial pallets
Maintain correct inventories daily, correctly label and barcode
General clean-up of warehouse aisles after completion of orders
Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
Assist in other department areas as needed
Additional duties as assigned
