About The Position

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, the Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. This role utilizes a variety of powered industrial equipment—including stand-up forklifts—to move, stack, and store materials while maintaining accuracy, cleanliness, and safety throughout all warehouse operations. Pay: $19-$25/hr earn up to an additional $4/hr in incentives. Schedule: 3AM start time

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet performance and accuracy standards.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, or weekends as required.
  • Ability to perform across warehouse departments and adapt to reassignments as determined by CBA bidding processes.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain positive relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Experience operating powered industrial trucks and related warehouse equipment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment.
  • Transport, stack, and store products in designated areas using powered industrial equipment.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards in all warehouse forklift operations and assigned departments.
  • Verify accuracy and condition of freight by inspecting for damage, infestation, or discrepancies.
  • Label, sort, wrap, pack, and repack product as required.
  • Remove shrink wrap, plastic, or other materials from pallets to prepare for processing.
  • Participate in physical inventories and assist with product counts as needed.
  • Charge and change equipment batteries as necessary to maintain operational readiness.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, including (but not limited to) stand-up forklifts, straddle trucks, motorized pallet jacks, double pallet jacks, and RF equipment.
  • Inspect and report safety malfunctions, damaged equipment, or hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
  • Promote a safe work environment through proper handling of equipment and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
