About The Position
At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire Reach Truck Operators based in Dallas, TX. These positions will work the night shift from 6:00 pm to 6:30 am CST, on a 2,2,3 schedule. The primary responsibilities of the Reach Truck Operator include operating all equipment safely and efficiently, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems to obtain maximum efficiency without sacrificing product quality and minimizing waste. The operator will maintain a FIFO inventory system of raw materials and finished products through the cycle count process and will understand and operate the warehouse management system (SAP) to function in all daily tasks in the Logistics Department. Maintaining written records as required by federal and state regulations is also essential. Flexibility to work weekends, shifts, and overtime is required, along with the ability to follow specifications, policies, and procedures to guarantee uniformity, accuracy, and damage-free products. Communication during shift changes with incoming associates is crucial to maintain product supply for order selection. The operator must maintain an orderly, clean, and safe working environment, perform daily inspections of equipment, and report any mechanical issues to supervision to help resolve problems and minimize downtime. Additionally, the operator will assist in the review of warehouse practices to develop new procedures to reduce expenses, improve inventory accuracy, efficiency, and service, and conduct other tasks as assigned.
