About The Position

The Reach Truck Operator at G&C Food Distributors is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to efficiently manage the storage and distribution of food products. This role involves order picking, packing, and maintaining inventory accuracy while ensuring a clean and organized warehouse environment. The position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to learn about various products quickly.

Requirements

• 1 year of order selection and warehouse experience in the food service distribution industry or related industry (2-3 years preferred)

Responsibilities

• Operation of powered industrial truck(s) (PIT)
• Accurate picking and packing of customer orders
• Demonstrate expertise in accuracy, productivity, safety, and dependability
• Demonstrate proficiency in receiving, replenishment, and picking
• Consolidate and level boxes on each pallet, moving pallets forward to eliminate multiple partial pallets
• Maintain correct inventories daily, correctly label and barcode
• General clean-up of warehouse aisles after completion of orders
• Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness
• Assist in other department areas as needed
• Additional duties as assigned
