About The Position

The Reach Program Director guides and oversees the daily operations of community-based prevention, and early intervention programming for girls. This position provides administrative oversight of management teams and programs, leading with a positive culture, and ensuring programs provide high quality services

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Counseling, and/or Family and Marriage.
  • Active Clinical Licensure in designated professional category and Supervisory Licensure credentials required.
  • Minimum of three - five years  of experience in managing tasks/projects in a program design, implementation, contract compliance, and execution in strategic planning objects
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership capacity with the ability to be action oriented.
  • Must be able to clinically supervise and guide licensed therapist.
  • Must present strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and strategic planning and develop continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information/data skillfully with the ability to present alternative solutions.
  • Strong professional presentation and writing skills are a must. · Proficiency in computer skills, database management and office software.
  • Current Florida driver’s license.
  • Must adhere to Agency Values and Principles.
  • Upholds the ethical standards of the Agency and 6B-1.001 Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida.
  • Follows policies and procedures of the Agency
  • Experience in managing and supervising staff.
  • Minimum 5 year experience providing counseling and therapeutic clinical services in a youth serving program.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure commitment to the Pace mission, vision, values and guiding principles and strategic goals and objectives of Pace Broward and Pace Center for Girls, Inc.
  • Manage and coordinate activities related to Pace’s fidelity to the model, mission, culture and vision of the agency.
  • Creates partnerships and community resources to identify quality services and assistance that will enhance the program.
  • Create communications to both internal and external constituencies.
  • Advocates for and represents Pace and its various program components within the community
  • Manage existing agency resources to maximize efficiency
  • In collaboration with the Executive Director, assess needs and develop goals, strategies and action plans for the center’s therapeutic, diversion, civil citation and Girls Court services auxiliary services programs
  • Ensure compliance with all policy and procedures, safety standards and regulations
  • Assist in the compliance of agency quality improvement standards, licensure mandates and funder compliance measures.
  • Conducts regular self-audits to ensure the program is providing quality services and prepared for audits.
  • Reviews and implements changes to standards as they occur and trains staff on changes to standards.
  • Facilitate meetings and workgroups with program management staff, community stakeholders and contract affiliates.
  • Directly supervise Reach Program Manager and provide clinical supervision to therapeutic staff, assist in their professional development and complete annual evaluations.
  • Facilitate staff training as planned and assist in supporting staff development plans.
  • Understands, demonstrates and instructs gender responsive programming modalities.
  • Provides therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention to girls (and families) on an as needed basis.
  • Guides, facilitates and directs staff in care review to ensure quality case managements, counseling and support services.
  • Interacts with outside agencies and the community to enhance understanding of Agency initiatives and priorities and to elicit support.
  • Ensure grant and funder contracts are utilized to their fullest capacity as dictated in contacts and memorandums of understanding.
  • Assist in the management of center’s staff training program to ensure compliance with Pace policy and contracted funders.
  • Assist in the development of public relations and reporting materials and disseminate to community stakeholders as needed.
  • Create, prepare and maintains reports, and/or documents for assigned projects and services and other assignments directed by the Executive Director.
  • Manage and oversee outcome measures and financial reports to ensure DJJ and all grant contract compliance.
  • Hires, makes recommendation for hire, trains, supervises and evaluates direct reports · Assist in training and oversight of assigned interns and volunteers, if warranted.
  • Ensure safety initiatives and agency safety program is adhered.
  • Serve as a member of the Center’s Executive Leadership Team and reports to the Executive Director
