About The Position
This position will assist the EXIT 318 Reentry Program staff and act as liaison and mentor to participants in the EXIT 318 program to ensure the success of everyone.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A personal lived experience of incarceration of a minimum of one year required.
- Active involvement in the recovery community, with a minimum of two (2) y ears in recovery from substance abuse disorder required.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and access to a reliable, privately owned vehicle required.
- Successful completion of a background check.
- Satisfactory driving record verification.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of reentry processes and community-based resources preferred.
- Peer Support Specialist training or certification through the Louisiana Department of Health preferred.
