About the role We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Laboratory Support Technician to join our R&D team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth day‑to‑day laboratory operations, supporting scientists with lab organization, inventory management, and sensory evaluations. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a hands‑on laboratory environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods in a laboratory setting.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment, including restocking labware, operating dishwashers, and returning materials and supplies to designated locations.
  • Manage and track inventory for raw materials, finished goods, and general laboratory supplies.
  • Participate in sensory evaluations (taste and aroma) of savory raw materials, finished flavors, and food products as needed, including but not limited to chicken, beef, pork, dairy, nuts, vegetables, and other savory foods and flavors.
  • Take a proactive approach in identifying errors, inconsistencies, or challenges and communicate them to the Manager and/or Scientists to support timely resolution.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and take on additional laboratory support responsibilities, including training on new tasks and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records, with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, time‑management, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Utilize basic computer applications (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word) and learn internal systems for formula, data, and information management.
  • Transport materials between the warehouse and laboratory spaces across site buildings as required.
