About The Position

We are seeking a Risk Control Self Assessment professional for a 10‑month contract role, supporting a large regional bank’s second line of defense Technology Risk team. This position is based in Charlotte and will focus on RCSA execution across Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data. The role participates in frontline RCSA sessions and provides effective challenge on risks, controls, and ratings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• 5+ years of relevant RCSA experience with a financial institution
• Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Represent the second line of defense in Technology, Cybersecurity, and Data Risk Assessable Units (RAU) sessions, providing oversight and challenge.
• Perform quality assurance reviews on draft RCSAs completed by other second‑line team members.
• Draft and deliver effective challenge on RAU scope, risk alignment, control design, and control ratings.
• Participate in RAU preparation, live sessions, and QA review sessions to ensure program consistency and accuracy.
• Apply strong analytical and risk assessment skills to evaluate taxonomies, data elements, critical systems, and control environments.
