About The Position

Great Hill Solutions is seeking a Revenue Cycle Modernization & Innovations Senior Solution Technical Expert, Data Analyst in the continental United States, remote authorized, to support the Defense Health Agency. The Revenue Cycle Modernization & Innovations Senior Solution Technical Expert, Data Analyst supports the Military Health System client by delivering advanced analytics, statistical modeling, backend application support, and enterprise reporting across MHS GENESIS and DHA data platforms. This role transforms revenue cycle data into decision support intelligence that strengthens revenue surveillance, risk based monitoring, audit readiness, and Revenue Cycle Modernization and Innovation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Health Informatics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Three or more years of experience providing backend application support, healthcare analytics, or revenue cycle data analysis.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Secret security clearance. Candidates must obtain approved adjudication prior to onboarding.
  • Due to government contract requirements, United States citizenship is required.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Experience analyzing healthcare revenue cycle data including billing, coding, claims, denials, and financial reporting.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, attention to detail, and ability to translate complex findings into executive ready insights.

  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
  • Five or more years of experience supporting healthcare analytics, revenue cycle modernization, audit readiness, or performance improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SAS for statistical modeling and advanced analytics.
  • Experience working with Oracle Health Cerner MHS GENESIS backend data structures, Millennium data models, and revenue cycle configuration logic.
  • Experience optimizing query performance and supporting large scale EHR data environments.
  • Experience supporting revenue cycle surveillance, compliance analytics, and risk based monitoring in a federal or Military Health System environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify capability gaps, diagnose root causes, and develop actionable, data driven recommendations.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or other project support credentials preferred.
  • Experience producing professional client facing deliverables in a consulting or federal contracting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute statistical and analytic methodologies to support revenue cycle surveillance, risk identification, remediation prioritization, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL and Vertica SQL queries, views, and reusable datasets supporting revenue cycle analytics including billing, collections, DNFB, denials, accounts receivable, write offs, and cash collections.
  • Develop and maintain CCL and Discern queries and reusable extracts to support analytics, operational reporting, and backend diagnostics within MHS GENESIS.
  • Access, extract, validate, reconcile, and integrate data from Cerner MHS GENESIS and DHA authorized enterprise repositories including HealtheAnalytics, HDI, HARC, M2, MDR, EAS IV, Alpha II, SSI, and related systems.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, outliers, and revenue risk related to charge capture, registration, documentation, claim edits, denials, underpayments, and reimbursement performance.
  • Perform data validation, lineage analysis, reconciliation, and quality assurance across multiple systems of record to ensure analytical accuracy and audit traceability.
  • Conduct system impact assessments related to backend configuration, data flow, billing logic, and revenue cycle workflows in coordination with Oracle Health Cerner, DHA, CDAO, and RCMI technical teams.
  • Investigate, triage, and support resolution of user reported issues impacting revenue cycle, scheduling, patient access, billing, and encounter workflows.
  • Develop dashboards and analytic products using Power BI, Tableau, SAP Business Objects, and advanced Excel to support revenue cycle monitoring and executive reporting.
  • Produce recurring and ad hoc analytic deliverables including executive summaries, methodology documentation, data dictionaries, and leadership briefings.
  • Quantify financial impact of identified issues and support tracking of corrective actions through pre and post remediation analysis.
  • Support testing, validation, release management, and interface changes to ensure analytic outputs align with system updates and configuration changes.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes within IT service management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with clinical, coding, billing, finance, IT, and operational stakeholders to translate analytic findings into actionable improvement strategies.
  • Safeguard protected health information and comply with HIPAA, DHA cybersecurity directives, and federal data governance policies.
