This position is a support function for other team members to ensure the data is properly retrieved and distributed to ensure smooth functions. In addition, that the process is handled timely, accurately, and proactively identify and resolve issues.

  • Retrieve mail from the post office, administrative building, electronically, or from any other source.
  • Sorts mail, copies, prints or scans information as needed for internal and external parties, and processes hub mail.
  • Process daily deposits.
  • Efficiently retrieve information, identifies issues, and communicates with others as needed.
  • Ensure that EFTs are processed and distributed to posters daily.
  • Balance Daily Payment Postings.
  • Work Website Jira Ticket System.
  • Provide support to other RCM team members.
  • Answer Collections overflow calls and direct calls to appropriate backup staff.
  • Work with Refunds and Accounts Receivable to resolve account balances, in particular insurance balances.
  • Generate and transmit patient statements.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects, produce reports, analytical work and other duties as requested by RCM Leadership.
  • Assist with building functions to ensure smooth operations, including maintaining inventory of supplies and placing orders for new supplies.
  • Coordinate building maintenance, manage visitors to the building, maintain building phone list and other lists as requested by RCM Leadership.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and promote positive interpersonal relations with all internal and external business contacts.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, comply with HIPAA and compliance guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functions.
  • Attend all meetings as requested including regular staff meetings.
  • Complete all assigned AP training within designated timeframes.
  • Comply with Allergy Partners and respective hub/department policies.
  • Model the AP Code of Conduct and demonstrate a commitment to the AP Compliance Program.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • One to three years experience, preferably in Healthcare Billing Setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using email and interacting with internet applications.
  • Working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement.
  • Basic knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM coding.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and understanding of practice management software.
  • Basic understanding of Explanation of Benefits forms, claim forms and the insurance billing process.
