About The Position

Zurich is currently looking for a RCIS Crop Claims Specialist I or a Crop Claims Associate to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS is one of the leading crop insurance providers in the U.S. RCIS offers insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents. RCIS offers a wide range of private product coverages, including a diverse selection of named-peril options, supplemental and stand-alone insurance products as well as federal crop insurance plans through the United States Department of Agriculture's Risk Management Agency. Together with RCIS agents, we protect America's farmers and ranchers. The RCIS Crop Claims Specialist will work out of the state of Wisconsin. This incumbent will work from a home-based office. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week. Approximately 50% travel is expected to cover the territory. The ideal candidate will need to live and service within a 100-mile area of the following Wisconsin counties: Washington County, Dodge, Fond du lac, Winnebago, Manitowoc. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or the crop insurance industry for Crop Claims Specialist I
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date for Crop Claims Specialist I
• Personal transportation and travel within assigned territory and travel outside of assigned area to assist with workload(s), participate on CAT team and/or provide remote assistance for the CROP Claims Care Center calls and/or CCP Claims for Crop Claims Specialist I
• RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements; walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions for Crop Claims Specialist I
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and No prior experience required in the Office environment or Customer service area for Crop Claims Associate
• Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Office Environment or Customer Service area for Crop Claims Associate

Responsibilities

• Complete field inspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring field and storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers
• Perform fact finding regarding crop damage; record information and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential damages
• Provide excellent service to our customers - both agents and policyholders (farmers)
• Utilize company software to electronically transmit claims information directly from the field to RCIS to ensure claims are processed timely and accurately
• Follow regulatory and company rules, policies, and procedures
