About The Position

The Production Lead will assist in supervising the daily activities of a production area to ensure daily goals are met by helping to coordinate and organize tasks within their group.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 1+ years of department specific experience required.
  • 1+ years of Rosenbauer build process experience required.
  • Language: Able to read and work from blueprints/spec books.
  • Able to read and understand a tape measure accurately.
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Able to give verbal and written directions that can be followed.
  • Math: Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Computer: Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Smartsheets.
  • Able to perform simple computer tasks to obtain information/changes related to the build process and/or troubleshoot.
  • Able to identify quality issues, recognize changes within the production process, and adjust as needed.
  • Able to prioritize work and to multitask while adhering to deadlines.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety policies to promote a safe working environment for all.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of department specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures volume, cost, waste, and quality standards of their department are achieved.
  • Works directly with material specialists to assure accurate and prompt delivery of materials.
  • Works directly with engineering to resolve issues related to BoMs, design, and process to resolve line stoppages.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety policies and initiatives, including keeping workspaces in orderly conditions.
  • Trains and instructs line personnel, monitors production progress, and communicates with supervisors on performance and related discrepancies.
  • Monitors build book signoffs, ensuring completeness of areas of accountability.
  • Provides back up support for supervisor related to company guidelines, conduct, policies, and ethics.
  • Provides feedback to supervisors on individual employee’s work performance.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the supervisor to meet the needs of the department.
