About The Position

Support potato quality in company storages, grower storages, research, and field environments to provide optimal storage of raw potatoes for the highest quality and the lowest shrink possible.

Requirements

• Education Required: High School Diploma or Trade Certification
• Years of Experience Required: <2 years
• Willingness to complete food safety and other job training and comply with SQF standards
• Willingness to work 12 hour shifts, may include nights (please inquire)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Mechanical background or experience with equipment is helpful
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Valid Driver License

Responsibilities

• Assist the Agronomist with tasks during the growing season including, crop growth sampling, and other data collection
• Aid in planting, data collection, and maintenance of field research trials under direction of the Agronomy Team
• Monitor harvest conditions and document quality at remote field sites
• Assist in monitoring all company storage facilities and collecting samples as needed
• Processing raw samples and requisitions when needed
• Assist the Raw team with tasks and projects that impact raw safety, raw quality, sustainability, and innovation.
• Maintain SOP & GAP standards
• Attend and participate in training and continuing education programs internally or externally as deemed appropriate by management.
