About The Position

ARC Technologies LLC, a Hexcel company, is the leading manufacturer of radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic interference (EMI) absorbing materials for defense and wireless applications worldwide and part of Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composites technology. Hexcel is currently seeking a Raw Materials Technician for our Amesbury, Massachusetts, USA location. Pay Range: $23.69 - $26.00 The Raw Materials Technician is responsible for picking, packing, and moving materials within the factory. They are responsible for retrieving products from shelves based on orders, ensuring accuracy of quantities and item details, and picking items for work orders. Material Pickers also maintain inventory, operate material handling equipment, and follow safety protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent, required.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods of time & must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
  • Must have good attention to detail & good communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret order tickets, pick lists, and other instructions.
  • Ability to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals.
  • Basic mathematical skills required-counting, measuring and metric unit conversions.
  • Have the ability to use barcode scanners, inventory management software, and other technology.
  • Understanding and adhering to workplace safety regulations and procedures.
  • This position is restricted to U.S. citizens due to U.S. government contract regulations that require the employment of only persons who are U.S. citizens.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift Certification: Experience operating forklifts or willingness to obtain certification.
  • MRP/ERP Systems: Experience using software to manage inventory and order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Picking: Locating and retrieving items from storage locations based on work order lists or instructions.
  • Packing: Preparing orders for production by placing items in boxes or containers, ensuring they are secure and properly packaged.
  • Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate inventory records, recording items picked, and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Material Handling: Using manual or power material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) to move materials around the warehouse.
  • Receiving: Unloading incoming shipments, storing materials, and processing them MRP.
  • Safety: Following all safety protocols and guidelines, including those related to material handling equipment operation and hazardous materials handling.
  • Quality Control: Inspecting items for damage or defects and ensuring the accuracy of product.
  • Cycle Counts: Responsible to do monthly cycle counts
