The Raw Materials team at Alo Yoga plays a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences by innovating and optimizing the development of fabrics and materials used in our products. As a Raw Materials R&D Developer, you will be responsible for supporting the entire seasonal raw materials development process, which is essential for driving innovation, productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability within the company. Your role will involve collaborating closely with fabric suppliers to deliver innovative fabric solutions while providing technical support to design and product development teams. You will also be tasked with managing the fabric development calendar, ensuring that all seasonal deadlines are met, and coordinating meetings between mills, design, and product development teams to explore new fabric qualities and finishing techniques. In this position, you will be expected to maintain detailed records of raw materials in both digital and physical libraries, execute the technical validation and approval processes for raw materials, and oversee fabric testing reporting and risk assessments. You will play a key role in setting quality and performance expectations for the product cross-functional team and will follow new fabric concepts through the commercialization approval process. Regular participation in meetings with design teams will be necessary to provide updates on new product development progress and to ensure alignment across departments. Your expertise in fabric R&D and production, along with your strong relationships with fabric suppliers, will be vital in navigating challenges and driving solutions while maintaining positive partnerships. You will need to be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment with fluctuating deadlines, all while ensuring effective communication with cross-functional teams.
