About The Position

The primary objective of this role is to ensure efficient scheduling and execution within the boundaries of the production and material flow plan. •    This includes developing tool-supported production schedules with optimal production cycles and minimal costs for finished goods, while providing feedback on schedule feasibility to supply planning. •    The role is also responsible for managing availability based on DBM rules to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. •    Additionally, it involves evaluating day-to-day operational performance of all material flow activities and ensuring availability at the packaging level. •    Manage local inventory, schedule orders, reduce slow-moving stock, and ensure accuracy of stock levels by timely and accurate goods receipts. •    Develop cost-optimized inventory deployment schedules at the location, define the amount of material to be moved to overflow storage locations, and create STOs for transport. •    Perform GRID changes and DAC adjustments on a packaging level to maintain availability. •    Create selling awareness by proactively pushing sales via ODP to balance the inventory. •    Participate in CST to drive and continuously improve the procurement process for improved customer satisfaction at optimized cost; contribute to production KPI monitoring. •    Participate in alignment meetings with the Material Handling organization to drive and continuously improve the material flow schedule quality and ensure proper risk management and asset effectiveness. •    Align with production on up-to-date transition matrices and sequence lists, responsible for related master data input, and actively utilize the transition matrix to achieve cost-minimal schedules. •    Maintain all material flow-related parameters in SAP and other optimization tools for system-guided scheduling. •    Ensures that company values, ethical principles and compliance rules as set out in the Borealis Ethics Policy are integrated in all related activities. •    Monitor safety stock, review and update safety stock calculations in MRP, decide on temporary safety stock reduction up to 50%, and provide input for reductions over 50%. •    Perform the dynamic availability check (DAC), check BOP lists several times per day, update product availability, and inform ODP/CSR on delivery blocks due to unplanned shutdowns. •    Provide input to the product owner for the MA6 positive list to get restricted material moving as soon as possible. •    Provide input to pool maintenance and decide whether production should run as planned if the grid and pool are reduced. •    Follow the updated demand situation (grid+pool+internal) daily and adjust the production schedule to keep the stock in balance. •    Decide on stock placement at the location and trigger stock movement to overflow storage locations. •    Prepare and provide input to the overflow fixed cost budgeting process, check overflow invoices, and follow up on agreed actions regarding cost optimization. •    Change in production schedule based on transition matrix •    Managing cost-optimal inventory structure, including safety stock utilization decision in alignment with ODP Team. •    Detailed stock placement at the location.

Requirements

  • BSC (Master of Science) or equivalent
  • S&OP/Supply Chain professional training (APICS or similar).
  • Fluency in English.
  • EXPERIENCE IN THE ROLE: 2+ years solid experience in a commercial, business, operations or supply chain environment preferably in the Polyolefin industry.
  • TOTAL EXPERIENCE: 3+ years
  • Extensive professional know-how in S&OP, preferentially through being responsible of different steps of S&OP process in the past, ideally combining business, supply chain and finance know-how.
  • Excellent SAP-APO general and PPDS tool knowledge.
  • Excellent analysis and conceptualisation skills, supporting fact based decision making and business case preparation.
  • Excellent presentation skills based upon an ability to compile analyses and propose solutions.
  • Strong influencing skills, being able to translate complex situations into simple terms. Sets direction, engages and inspires people.
