About The Position

Owens Corning, global in scope - human in scale. We’re an international company, with solid roots in North Platte and we’ve got opportunities for a few dynamic people to join our local team. This position involves loading rails and paper core on carts for layup, staging rails in a safe and easily accessible manner while following the production schedule, cutting rails to proper size as needed, conducting pre-operational inspections, and cleaning and maintaining the area & forklift.

Requirements

• Must have knowledge of rail types and sizes, and the ability to understand production schedules
• Must be able to operate radial arm saw
• Must read and write English & a tape measure
• Must have good attendance and safety records
• Must demonstrate solid teamwork abilities and communication

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work well independently, as well as part of a team
• The ability to work accurately, thoroughly and meet deadlines
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently and be highly alert at all times

Responsibilities

• Load rails and paper core on carts for layup
• Stage rails in a safe and easily accessible manner, while following the production schedule
• Cut rails to proper size as needed
• Conduct pre-operational inspection
• Clean and maintain the area & forklift
