About the position

The Raw Material Handler position at Basalite Building Products involves supporting the production process by managing the movement of raw materials within the manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

• Support the production in all areas of raw material movement including stockpile and bin movement.
• Load trucks and feed hoppers for the manufacturing facility.
• Learn and identify all aggregates by visual indicators.
• Understand the daily production schedule and its impact on material demand.
• Order raw materials as needed for the next day.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Demonstrate advanced operation and control of the front-end loader.
• Inspect the front-end loader daily and perform required maintenance duties.
• Load trucks with block dump and keep the area around aggregate belts clean.
• Assist in yard cleanup and remove snow during winter months.
• Support production personnel as needed and keep workspace clean.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of front-end loader operation and controls.
• Experience operating Bobcat and Forklift.
• Experience in email and data entry.
• Ability to obtain Basalite Forklift certification.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and rules.
• Effective communication skills with peers and management.
