The Rattunde Operator position involves setting up and operating cutting and chamfering machines to produce tubular parts. The operator will receive direction from the Shift Supervisor and is expected to perform a variety of tasks to ensure the production of high-quality products. The role requires the operator to set up, install, and adjust tools, collets, clamps, and other equipment to meet product specifications such as size, length, and finish. Operators will operate various machines, inspect parts for compliance with work order specifications, and segregate any defective materials. Additionally, they will be responsible for minor tooling maintenance, verifying that the tubing delivered matches order requirements, and completing production records and inspection reports accurately. Communication with other shifts regarding operations and equipment status is also a key part of the job. The incumbent is expected to maintain a clean and safe work area and assist maintenance personnel as needed. All duties must be performed in accordance with the PTC Quality Management System and its policies. The position requires a good mechanical aptitude and the ability to pass a job qualification exam after a probationary period of 260 to 520 hours. Overall, this role is crucial in ensuring that PTC continues to deliver high-quality products to its customers while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
