About The Position

The Product Development department is looking for someone who can demonstrate the WCF values to join their team as a Rating Configuration Analyst. The Rating Configuration Analyst is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and testing rating logic within Ratabase and proprietary rating systems. The person in this position works closely with managed services partners, product managers, actuaries, and underwriting teams to ensure accurate and timely deployment of rating changes for commercial lines products. This is an exempt position that reports to the VP, Product Development. This position is open to internal and external candidates. The person in this position works out of the WCF's Sandy, Utah headquarters or one of the regional offices located in Roseville, CA; Boise, ID; or Denver, CO. Hybrid (office/home) option is available.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related fields.
  • At least two years of work experience in insurance rating systems, preferably Ratabase.
  • Familiarity with commercial lines products (Workers' Compensation, General Liability, Property, Auto).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of property and casualty insurance rating principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret rating manuals and actuarial documentation.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ISO (Insurance Services Office) content and circular implementation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain rating logic in Ratabase for commercial lines products.
  • Implement ISO circular updates and assist with regulatory rate filings.
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into rating rules.
  • Perform unit testing and validation of rating changes.
  • Document configuration changes and maintain version control.
  • Support QA and UAT processes for rating updates.
  • Coordinate with external partners and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deployment of changes.
  • Assist in troubleshooting rating discrepancies and system issues.
