  • Conducting in-depth research and preparing comprehensive documents and presentations for rating committees.
  • Attending rating committee meetings alongside senior analysts as assigned.
  • Demonstrating a solid understanding of ratings criteria and financial statement analysis.
  • Assisting in the collection and analysis of data for special projects.
  • Collaborating with analysts to publish periodic thought leadership articles.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, government/public policy, or a related field.
  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 2+ years' experience.
  • A demonstrated interest in government operations and utilities.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis, including cash flow and credit models.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to learn through both formal training and hands-on experience, adaptability to handle changing priorities and complex situations, and creativity to bring innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with organization and attention to detail.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
