About The Position

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Rater to join our Underwriting team! In this essential role, you’ll support our members by providing accurate insurance coverage ratings, processing renewals, and maintaining critical documentation. You’ll work in a supportive environment where excellence and teamwork are valued, and after six months, you’ll be eligible for a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related insurance field.
Proficiency in general office procedures and insurance operations.
Ability to type 35 CWPM or more.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Detail oriented.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in rating or underwriting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver top-tier customer service to members and internal departments.
Rate, input, and quote new business, renewals, and coverage options across multiple product lines.
Review and generate policy documentation, schedules, certificates, endorsements, and audits.
Process and scan endorsement requests and coverage change forms.
Assist with Workers’ Compensation and Liability audits and billing support.
Provide Asset Survey estimates and help issue new policies.
Support other administrative tasks including check runs, W-9 processing, and special projects.
Contribute to team training and continuous improvement efforts.
All other duties as assigned.
