About The Position

This is a highly responsible Career Service position within the Division of Operations and Programs, Bureau of Rapid Response and Support, in the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities whose role includes but is not limited to serving as the subject matter expert for Supported Living, Supported Employment, and other related programs that support individuals with unique abilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Four years of experience in health and human services or education or Bachelor’s degree can substitute for 4 years of experience.
  • Knowledge of: Methods of compiling, organizing and analyzing data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating sta.
  • The structure and content of the English language, including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and gramma.
  • Ability to: Communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Deal with the public in a tactful, courteous and effective manner.
  • Analyze problems comprehensively and recommend solutions /change(s) quickly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment and decision making, weighing the costs and benefits of a potential action.
  • Be flexible, prioritize work, and work well in a team setting.
  • Conduct training.

Responsibilities

  • Draft statewide policies and guidelines to ensure standardized and effective delivery of initiatives in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborates with the training team on the development and updates to provider training.
  • Provides technical assistance and training to Region staff and other stakeholders regarding Supported Living, Supported Employment, and other programs that support individuals with unique abilities.
  • Provides support in operational planning to identify and develop programs and pathways to support individuals with unique abilities. This includes conducting research, participating in meetings, collaborating with other agencies and organizations, engaging with partners to further such initiatives, and engaging in special projects related to implementation.
  • Tracks and maintains data used to monitor and inform core operational processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
