Qnity has an opening for Group Leader to the Rapid Customer Sampling (RCS) Team in Chemical Mechanical Planarization Technology (CMPT) research and development. This exciting position is focused on leading a team who provides samples of new pad products and configurations to our internal and external customers. This group performs a key function that allows the CMPT business to aggressively engage our customers with new product samples.

Requirements

  • Minimum of B.S. degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or relevant engineering field required.
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience is desirable.
  • Strong grasp of statistical and analytical methods including and understanding SPC.
  • Candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills that will be required for working along a cross section of departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Most preferred is experience in conversions or finishing of CMP products.
  • All chemical manufacturing experience will be considered.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Project Leader or higher Certification is desirable.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the people leadership of the RCS group including but not limited to coaching and mentoring, development of employee development plans, performance reviews, goal planning, dealing with conflicts etc.
  • Has leadership responsibility to ensure that all process safety requirements are implemented for RCS.
  • Ensures that we have a continuous pipeline of new pad products to meet industry timing:
  • Works with R&D, Marketing, and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) to ensure that delivery of pads is maintained for rapid customer engagement (6 days or less)
  • Support the develop and implementation of new features to improve existing pad portfolio.
  • Establishes and maintains a culture that ensures the rapid response to both external and internal customer pad samples.
  • Initiates the process for transfer of new products from RCS to HVM to ensure the optimal use of RCS assets.
  • Maintain and communicate safety, quality, and productivity metrics.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement of the RCS processes and capture any identified IP.
