Today's professional Scouters are a diverse group of men and women sharing a dynamic career offering independence, achievement, and stability. This is work that makes a difference, maintaining facilities, property, and equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations in support of BSA programs. The Ranch Technician Grounds assists in the maintenance and grooming of over 30 acres of lawns, gardens and trees in our Camping and Administration areas, Training Center, National Scouting Museum, and Villa Philmonte. This role is critical in maintaining and grooming grounds and facilities as they are a focal point of not only the professional appearance of our operation, the expectation of groomed outdoor program delivery areas for participants, but also provide for safer and much-reduced interaction with wildlife. The role is also critical to the safety of participants and staff in snow and ice removal from sidewalks and paths during and after snow events during the fall, winter, and spring. This position reports to the Supervisor of Facility Services Philmont.
