The Ranch Assistant is responsible for assisting the Ranch Manager with the daily operations, administration, and maintenance of the grounds, buildings, and facilities, ensuring they are in optimal condition. This role involves assisting with maintenance projects and providing exceptional service.

  • Assist with needed operation and administration of the Ranch and other assigned properties.
  • Maintain the landscape for all properties, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.
  • Maintain grounds, buildings, and facilities, ensuring they remain clean, operational, and in top condition.
  • Feed, water, and care for livestock.
  • Maintain and construct fences, gates, and corrals.
  • Operate ranch equipment including tractors, ATVs, and utility vehicles.
  • Maintain and repair ranch structures such as barns, sheds, and cabins.
  • Clean and organize work areas, barns, and equipment storage spaces.
  • Paint, pressure wash, and perform seasonal upkeep tasks as needed.
  • Mow, trim, and maintain lawns and pastures.
  • Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems.
  • Remove weeds, debris, and fallen limbs.
  • Maintain driveways, trails, and other access roads.
  • Regularly inspect the properties to identify any maintenance issues, safety concerns, or areas needing improvement.
  • Coordinate with the Ranch Manager for maintenance, repair, or improvement projects.
  • Provide exceptional service to the property owner, their family, and guests, ensuring all their needs are met and exceeded during visits.
  • Assist with additional tasks and projects assigned.
  • Knowledge of landscaping and building maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
