About The Position

We are seeking a Ramp Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in industrial manufacturing facilities specific to semiconductor equipment installation. This role requires experience in supporting advanced technology manufacturing equipment installation, and the ability to contribute to the success of our projects and client's needs. This position is based on site in Santa Clara, CA

Requirements

  • Technical degree in a relevant field and/or related experience with a proven history of success.
  • Direct experience supporting scope, schedule, and budget, interfacing with Tool Owners, Equipment Engineers, A&E, GC and Trades contractors for semiconductor tool install projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience in semiconductor equipment installation roles with effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on advanced technology facilities and related assigned projects.
  • Manage, coordinate, and oversee the installation of semiconductor equipment beginning with facilities tool design and up through the tool qualification steps, by directly interfacing with engineers, module managers, OEMs, contractors, facilities engineers, hook-up design manager & construction manager, and others to ensure all aspects of installing tools meets the signoff requirements.
  • Track the costing trends through the provision of feedback relating to decreased construction durations and lower installation costs.
  • Participate in tool installation design review process, including being able to understand, interpret, compare and validate specific drawings.
  • Understand, update, and verify Tool Design packages with respect to the Fab design/as-built state.
  • Coordinate equipment move-in activities and verify the correct setting location.
  • Verify tool set & level procedure with the equipment engineering team.
  • Verify correct mechanical, electrical, and process connections to tools with trade contractors referencing previously agreed IFC design package.
  • Coordinate and complete safety sign-off of equipment facilities for ‘Tier 1’ services.
  • Facilitate ‘Tier 1” service turn-on and test EMO and LSS functionality.
  • Coordinate equipment functionality testing and initial setup.
  • Coordinate and complete safety sign-off of equipment facilities for ‘Tier 2’ services.
  • Complete turn-on request documentation for HPM services.
  • Support supplier qualification activities in conjunction with the module engineering team.
  • Coordinate IT systems connections and testing for manufacturing equipment.
  • Log and report qualification data as per equipment specifications to complete sequential performance requirements.
  • Complete/update paperwork and qualification data for final equipment sign-off.
  • Other duties as assigned.
