As a Ramp Agent, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that flights operate on time by providing efficient ground support services. Forklift experience required. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
• Forklift Experience Required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• If the work location is in the United States, you must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
• Must complete ramp and SIDA training to obtain airport authority identification security.
• If required by customer or role access, be able to secure a Customs Seal through the respective governing agency.
• Good Communication Skills – Ramp Agents must be able to communicate information and instructions effectively, both verbally and via radio equipment, in a professional manner to the flight crew, gate agents, and other ground crew members to coordinate the movement and handling of planes, equipment, baggage, and cargo.
• Basic math skills: Ramp agents may be required to calculate weight and balance calculations for planes.
• Computer skills: Ramp agents may be required to use computer systems to track cargo and baggage.
• Problem-solving skills: Ramp agents may be called upon to troubleshoot issues during loading and unloading.
• Time management skills: Ramp agents must be able to manage their time effectively to complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
• Transport, lift, load/unload, sort and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, and mail material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loader, or baggage carts in a safe manner.
• Safeguards customer baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, and/or destruction.
• Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
• Operate heavy equipment, such as pushback equipment, and maintain visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure the equipment is free from any danger.
• Operate and/or drive motorized equipment, such as belt loaders, air-start units, lift trucks, push-back tugs, bag carts, lavatory carts, and deicers; or manually push and pull pushcarts and containers.
• Operate equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories.
• Receive and record customer baggage, air freight, mail, and company materials as required.
• Pick up, deliver, and transport cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, which may include wheelchairs, strollers, live animals, and other essential items of passengers' property, and prepare records in connection with these responsibilities.
• Complete all paperwork and forms related to work assignments, including procedures, and enter data into the company's information system as required.
• Follow company procedures and protocols to ensure consistent, safe, and responsible operation.
• Complete all training when required by the company, airport governing authority, or customer when required.
• Be on time, be prepared, and be safe.
• Be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Take reasonable care for the health, well-being, safety, and security of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions while at work.
• Cooperate with their manager/supervisor to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
• Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, well-being, safety, security, or welfare reasons.
• Inform their manager/supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that poses a serious or immediate danger to their health, well-being, safety, or security.
• Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager/supervisor, who will then follow the procedures outlined in the company's and carrier's Safety and Security procedures.
• Carry out work in accordance with the information and training provided, as well as any specific health, well-being, safety, and security rules or procedures.
• Fully understand AGI Health & Safety and Security policies.
• Attend training courses as may be required by AGI.
