About The Position

Road & Rail Services is a national leader in specialized logistics. Our Track Maintenance division isn't just a crew; it's a team of skilled operators who keep the rails moving safely. We are looking for a Skilled Equipment Operator with specific experience in railroad track maintenance. This is not an entry-level labor position. You will be responsible for operating specialized machinery and performing technical repairs across our regional project sites.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of direct experience in Railroad Track Maintenance (MOW).
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or industrial setting (rail-specific equipment preferred).
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel regionally as projects dictate.
  • Comfort working in the Florida climate and the ability to handle the physical demands of track-side work.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate specialized railroad maintenance equipment (such as regulators, tampers, or backhoes with rail attachments).
  • Execute track surfacing, tie replacement, and rail repair to exact specifications.
  • This role is project-based and involves regional travel (up to 75%). We provide per diem and travel support for overnight stays.
  • Adhere to all FRA regulations and lead by example in a "Safety First" environment.
