The Role As a Production Welder I, you’ll be at the heart of carbody fabrication—joining, aligning, and assembling carbon and stainless-steel structures that become best-in-class rail vehicles. Requirements
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- A practical welding test is required for all candidates.
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read manufacturing drawings and verify dimensions.
- Basic written and spoken English communication.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred familiarity with torch and plasma equipment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, parts lists, sketches, and verbal guidance to perform manual and mechanized welding and repetitive assembly operations.
- Build routine welded components—subassemblies and mounted parts—with consistent accuracy.
- Perform visual inspections and follow established quality checks to meet exacting standards.
