About The Position
Railcar Repair Mechanic Georgetown, SC Are you seeking to be a part of a team-oriented company that provides quality training and values safety first? PSC Group is now hiring a full-time Railcar Repair Technician that will work safely around heavy equipment, railcars and railroad tracks to coordinate and compete all railcar repairs. Must be flexible to work overtime, nights, and weekends if needed. Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
Requirements
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Nice To Haves
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Interprets job work orders and follows blueprints / schematics to perform required repairs
- Utilizes basic mechanical skills and builds knowledge of machines and tools to weld, cut and gouge
- Notifies of any materials and/or equipment required to ensure completion of job tasks
- Follows all safety rules, keeps work area clean and complies with all ARS Environmental Health and Safety Policies
- Ensures AAR, ARS and customer quality assurance standards are met
- Completes any other duties as assigned in order to complete the task
