Job Description: We are looking for a Write-Up Supervisor to lead the estimation department to perform thorough inbound railcar inspections, submit comprehensive and accurate estimate packages, and supports plant production. The Write-Up Supervisor will also support the production team with other initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Able to perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.
  • Verifies cars are properly secured and identified prior to releasing.
  • Able to pass drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect estimate packages for completeness and accuracy in a timely manner.
  • Lead preprocess research.
  • Work with scheduling to ensure estimates are complete to meet production demand.
  • Provide necessary training and development to inspectors.
  • Interface with engineering, car owners, and customers for repair instructions (contract review).
  • Verify the incorporation of supplemental repairs into final Billing Repair Card (BRC).
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of supplemental repairs.
  • Accept actions items from Daily Management System around write-up improvements.
  • Able to perform tasks that require climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms.
