About The Position
Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) is seeking a Rail Superintendent to join the Commercial team for the Golden Triangle Polymers (GTP) facility located in Orange, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and be part of a team contributing to the design, startup, and operation of a new plant from the ground up. The Rail Operations Superintendent will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all rail processes at the GTP plant and Storage-in-Transit (SIT) yard. This position will manage loading operations for approximately 24,000 hopper cars (HCs) per year, railcar switching, rail to truck transloading operations, hopper car washing, and rail car maintenance facilities. Additionally, this role will supervise, and coordinate activities performed by multiple contractor work groups with approximately 60 contractors and will report to the Rail Operations Manager. This position will be assigned to the project location in Orange, TX and will transition to ongoing operations following commissioning and startup with an expected commitment through stable start-up operations.
