Rail Communications Electromechanical Assembler Be part of a team that keeps America moving. For more than 160 years, Siemens has helped build the nation’s infrastructure—advancing electrification and transportation from the first mile to the last. Our rail electrification portfolio spans the full value chain, enabling today’s operators and powering tomorrow’s networked, digital infrastructure. A day in your role You’ll report to a Production Supervisor and/or Team Leader and start your shift reviewing assembly prints and Bills of Materials for the day’s builds. With handheld tools—like screw and drill guns—you’ll assemble mechanical components for rail communications equipment, crimp and strip wires, and perform precise soldering. You’ll collaborate with the Quality team to verify every unit meets our standards, flag any deviation to work instructions that could affect quality, productivity, or safety, and help drive improvements. Throughout the day, you’ll uphold 5S practices, keep equipment in good working order, and maintain a clean, orderly work area. You’ll share ideas to eliminate waste, join process-improvement activities, support neighboring assembly teams when needed, and model professional conduct with coworkers and customers. You’ll also receive training to sharpen your skills and attend sessions as required.
