Position Summary: We are seeking a recent graduate or current undergraduate/graduate student interested in conducting tick and tick-borne pathogen surveillance in Utah. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the One Health team at the Utah Department of Health and Human Services, faculty at Colorado State University, and partners in the CDC-funded Rockies and High Plains Vector-borne Diseases Center. Job duties will include spending several consecutive hours outside collecting ticks in natural areas, morphological identification of tick species, screening ticks for pathogens, data entry and management, creating educational materials for the public and communicating with collaborators and community members.
