About The Position

The RAE South Lead is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor. This role involves coordinating activities, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high-quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment. The RAE South Lead acts as a liaison between the production team and management, facilitating communication and problem-solving.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficient in using manufacturing software and systems.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide daily leadership and direction to the production team, ensuring adherence to production schedules.
Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and conduct training to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and employee engagement.
Oversee the production process, ensuring products are manufactured on time and meet quality standards.
Coordinate with different departments (e.g., Quality Control, Maintenance, Logistics) to ensure smooth operations.
Identify and resolve any production issues, such as bottlenecks or equipment malfunctions, to minimize downtime.
Ensure all products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to maintain quality and compliance.
Implement and monitor corrective actions when quality issues arise.
Promote and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Investigate and report any workplace accidents or safety incidents.
Identify areas for improvement in production processes and workflows.
Participate in or lead continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma projects.
Implement best practices to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, and quality metrics.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management.
Ensure all production-related documentation is complete, accurate, and properly filed.
Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new production employees.
Mentor and develop team members, providing opportunities for skill development and career growth.
Address employee concerns and work to resolve conflicts within the team.
