The Radiology Technologist at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is responsible for obtaining radiographs for diagnostic purposes using ionizing radiation equipment. This role involves working in various imaging services locations, including ambulatory surgery centers, and requires adherence to departmental policies and protocols. The technologist will also manage clerical processes using the Radiology Information System (RIS) and the Patient Archiving System (PACS).

  • Utilize equipment to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes as per physician orders.
  • Rotate through different locations, including ambulatory surgery centers, to provide radiographic support.
  • Perform fluoroscopic exams and utilize a radiographic C-arm or portable unit as required.
  • Complete clerical processes using the designated Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Manage patient images using the Patient Archiving System (PACS).
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required, which may be met through completion of an AMA approved program.
  • Eligible for ARRT (R) registry and must attain ARRT(R) and MRT-General Certificate within one year of eligibility.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
  • Associates in Applied Science-Radiology Technology preferred.
  • PACS and RIS experience preferred.
