The position is located at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA, with flexible hours of 24 to 32 hours per week, primarily during the day shift.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography within one year of eligibility.
  • Current RT licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island based on location assignment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or be exempt from the requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
  • Assume responsibility for each assigned patient and perform patient assessments, correlating clinical findings with exam/procedure requests.
  • Obtain pertinent information from the patient’s chart and document all data within the EHR.
  • Educate patients for exams and position them appropriately for imaging.
  • Select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies for procedures.
  • Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
  • Select technical factors/parameters/sequences to produce quality images.
  • Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others, and be aware of MR safety practices.
  • Assist physicians in performing procedures.
