About The Position

Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Radiology Technologist for our Radiology department. This is a per diem, 8-hour variable shift position reporting to the Supervisor of Imaging and Director of Imaging Services.. Responsibilities The Radiology Technologist will be efficient in producing images of the body for diagnostic purposes under the direct supervision of the staff Radiologist. The Radiology Tech will explain procedures to the patients and position patients on the exam table. The Radiology Tech will select technique parameters in accordance with the ALARA principle. The Radiology Tech will review and evaluate digital images for quality to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes. The Radiology Tech will utilize radiation safety measures and protective devices to comply with government regulations and ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff. The Radiology Tech will also be transporting patients to/from the hospital bed to the Radiology Department throughout the workday and maneuvering and positioning patients for imaging.

Requirements

  • Current CA certification from the CDPH as a Diagnostic Radiology and Fluoroscopy Technologist is required.
  • New graduates have 90 days from hire date to complete the Fluoroscopy Certification.
  • Completion of an AMA accredited program is required.
  • Current BLS issued by AHA required.
