Job Summary Performs a variety of radiographic procedures and duties, under the direction of a qualified Physician, Operations Manager, and Diagnostic Technical Specialist, using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation. Performs all activities according to federal, state, local and hospital policies and procedures to a variety of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric in age. Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent military training in Radiologic Technology required.
- Radiologic Technologist License issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiation Control Board required.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or become registered within 12 months of hire.
- CPR/BLS certification/training required.
- Must maintain minimum requirements for acquiring Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) as mandated by State and ARRT Guidelines.
