Responsibilities Our Family Medicine clinic in the Singing Hills area of Sioux City is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Radiology Technologist to join our care team. This role performs high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures, supports clinical staff, and helps ensure an efficient, compassionate patient experience in an outpatient primary care setting.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT (R) certification.
  • Current Iowa permit to practice as a Radiologic Technologist (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an outpatient or family medicine clinic setting.
  • Familiarity with digital radiography (DR) systems and EHR workflows.
  • Experience with EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray exams in accordance with provider orders, clinic protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety techniques.
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and provide exceptional patient care and comfort.
  • Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, reporting any issues for timely service.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document procedures and upload imaging.
  • Coordinate with providers and nurses regarding imaging needs and patient flow.
  • Follow all clinic, state, and federal regulations—including ALARA principles and quality assurance requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and equipment.
  • Assist with general clinical support as needed (e.g., vital signs, rooming patients), depending on clinic workflow.
  • Participate in continuing education and competency training to remain compliant with licensure standards.
