Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Documented training and experience in radio grap h y
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current Massachusetts DPH Radio log i c Technologist Radio grap h y (Full/General) license or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Radio grap h y with RT(R) designation or eligible for ARRT certification upon graduation
  • Imaging acquisition, processing, reviewing, sending, and retrieving equipment (hardware and software); Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software); Communication equipment (e.g., fax, telephone, email, etc.) .
  • Ability to use computers
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • Ability to hear and respond to staff and patient needs
  • Ability to physically position patients
  • Ability to manipulate imaging equipment

Responsibilities

  • Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radio log y Policy Manual.
  • Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
  • Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
