The Radiology Technologist is responsible for applying prescribed ionizing radiation to perform accurate diagnostic imaging procedures for patients of all ages. This role assesses patients before, during, and after procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and patient-centered care. The Radiology Technologist operates highly specialized imaging equipment including radiographic systems, computed radiography, digital radiography, and PACS technology. Additional responsibilities include performing IV contrast injections and related patient care skills as required, supporting a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and families, and participating in the training of students and staff. This role requires effective communication, teamwork, and professionalism in a fast-paced imaging environment.
